This is a project I have been working on since moving to my new house in June. With help from friends, loaner instruments, and a lot of offerup/craigslist purchases, I was able to sound proof and furnish my garage as a studio. Around July I began working on recordings, all in house. I played every instrument on this series and recorded it all on my own with three basic Shure mics and a Tascam 2488 that I’ve seen Chad Harris work on for a few years now. There was a lot of trial and error, as I’ve never claimed to be a producer or engineer, I am simply a lover of music. Once I finished production, I brought it to Chad who helped me transfer it all to tape via a small Tascam 4 track (Porta 02) and then into his computer. He then worked on some post-mixes and mastering.

Though the fidelity of these recordings doesn’t hold a candle to previous releases, these songs are very special to me. The words carry a weight that I need released to anyone willing to lend an ear. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoyed creating them. This is the first of many releases in the Dirty Dishes Demo Series!
